What Is The Pipe Reducer
A reducer is a component in a piping system that changes the pipe size from a larger to a smaller bore.
A reducer allows for a change in pipe size to meet flow requirements or to adapt to existing piping. The length of the reduction is usually equal to the average of the larger and smaller pipe diameters. Reducers are typically concentric, but eccentric reducers can be used to maintain the same top-of-pipe or bottom-of-pipe level.a pipe reducer is a kind of industrial pipe fittings used to connect two pipes (or tubes) of different diameters. It contains concentric reducer and eccentric reducer. The former is used on vertical pipes, and the latter is used for horizontal pipes.
Pipe Seamless & Welded steel reducers are mainly used in the following areas:
1. Pipe reducer is useful when there is a requirement on change of fluid flow rate.
2. It is used for pump inlet to prevent cavitation.
3. It is fit for the connectors of instruments, such as flowmeter and control valve.
Seamless concentric reducers according EN (DIN ) are often used in installations, piping systems or equipment construction. Hengtong group can supply suitable concentric reducers for every quality, pipe size and wall thickness.
Concentric Reducers
seamless Concentric Reducers according ASME B16.9 are often used in installations, piping systems or equipment construction. Nijhuis & Wigger can supply suitable Concentric Reducers for every quality, pipe size and wall thickness.

Alloy steel reducer pipe fittings are usually used to connect two lengths of pipe with different diameters in shipping and oceanographic engineering. our company is fully capable of producing both concentric and eccentric reducers with alloy steel of different specifications through hot press forming process based on customers’ specific requirements.
Common alloy steel features great tenacity, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. It could also be a kind of carbon steel which is alloyed with other alloying elements to improve its various properties, including abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance and low temperature resistance, etc. The properties will vary depending on the alloying element types and percentages. As a kind of alloy steel, low temperature service steel, is specifically used for production of pipe fittings applied in circumstances with temperature ranging between -20 and -253℃.
1. Seamless alloy steel reducer
We are capable of making use of seamless alloy steel pipes of different specifications to manufacture seamless reducer pipe fittings with various calibers through a process where elbow hot forming press and medium frequency induction heating mandrel are utilized.
2. Large size alloy steel reducer
We are able to produce alloy steel reducer pipe fittings with the maximum caliber as 100 inches(DN600) through placing alloy steel plates into related molds for compression forming via hydraulic press and then conducting butt welding to attach these formed pieces together.
3. Forged alloy steel reducer
Through forging process, our factory can also manufacture alloy steel socket weld reducer or threaded reducer.
